Restriced Access is a feature that host can enable to be able to approve or deny attendee and or organization registrations in an event.
Restricted access is mostly for organizations in industry specific events to ensure only organizations of that industry are registered to the event or if they are accepting payment for an event and want to confirm payment is made before approving registration to the event. Enabling the restricted access for attendees is mostly used to ensure a targeted demographic of attendees or attendees with certain qualifications or certifications are registered to the event.
How To Enable Restricted Access
To enable to restricted access in the event, access your event from the Events tab, select your event and click on the edit icon. Scroll down the page, and on the right hand side you will find the Restriced Access feature to enable for attendees, organizations or both.
How to Approve or Deny
Once you have enabled this feature, as your organizations and attendees start to register you will see the Pending Organizations or Pending Attendees tab in your event dashboard. To approve or deny organizations or attendees, click on either pending tab and your will be provided with a list of registered organzations or attendees. Select the Edit icon to the right of the name of the organization or attendee and click Approve or Deny.
What Happens Afterwards
Once you approve an organization or attendee, they will receive an automated email from the platform that they have been appoved by the host or denied. You can remove an attendee or organization out of the event if their approval was made in error. If you deny an organization or attendee, for them to be approved, they will need to re-register to the event.
